Rare Circa 1908 12" GE Ball Motor DC Ornate Base Original

From the Prairie House Collection, assembled by a dedicated fan enthusiast and collector, comes this, circa 1908 12" GE Ball Motor DC Ornate Base Desk Fan. This is a rare and desirable DC version of a Pancake era desk fan by GE.  These fans rarely become available, and this is a beautiful all original example.  The cast iron components feature a beautiful original finish!  The brass components appear to have been cleaned and polished at some point. When tested, we found the fan only operates on high speed running smoothly on high speed at 115V DC.  Switch is present but it appears to not be working correctly.  The switch lever has been repaired where it exits the base.  This is a must have for a DC or GE collector – don't miss this beautiful original rare example!
