Rare All Original Condition 1906 12" DC Westinghouse Tank Motor Desk Fan

From the Prairie House Collection, assembled by a dedicated fan enthusiast and collector, comes this, Circa 1906 Westinghouse DC Tank.   Westinghouse "tank" motor fans have become a "must have" for collectors.  This DC model offers a rare twist to the common "tank”. This is a rare direct current example.  The direct current tank motor design is sleek and simple, having no vent holes. When viewing the fan from the back you see the wonderful carbon brush setup with the original wire. This example runs on its three intended speeds on 110v dc, with amps at .36 high speed, .29 medium speed, and .23 on low speed.  A bridge rectifier will need to be installed to run on current household AC electricity.  The paint is 100% original with minor chipping around the base and displays beautifully! The brass has been polished in the past and has developed a nice patina.   The head wire is tattered and the power cord is in good condition but doesn’t have a plug.  Rare opportunity to acquire beautiful example of a great early DC fan.
