Circa 1910 8" Robbins & Myers “Open Commutator” Stationary Desk Fan. Fresh from a lifelong collection we are pleased to offer such an amazing all original example of this highly desirable model. Fan has been cleaned and waxed to reveal the shine it had when new. There are a couple of areas that are missing paint as seen in the photos. The original brass flag badge remains intact on the fan guard - a rare feature. Both the brass blade and badge were highly polished at some point in the past and appear to have been lacquered several years ago. Power cord had been upgraded before we acquired this example and still appears to be in like new condition. The original fiber bottom cover is present and from the factory was stamped with the fans motor tag information. Switch lever can be seen "sneaking" from beneath the base and operates the fan on two distinct speeds when supplied with its factory specified voltage of 110 volts AC. We have added new brushes for many years of reliable use. Oil cups were cleaned of all the old oil and grease and fresh oil and wick were added. Absolutely ideal for daily use, this fan operates perfectly smoothly.
