Original Circa 1914 Robbins & Myers R&M 8" AC/DC stationary Desk Fan. Manufactured during a pivotal time in the country when "supplied" voltages had not yet become standard, R&M designed this model for use on Alternating Current or Direct Current. This is an amazing all original "survivor" from 110 years ago. Displaying as though it just left the factory yesterday, this fan was cherished by its original owners. Gold Leaf lettering on the base for AC or DC opertion is in amazing condition as well. Blade is in the windmill design and executed in steel finished in original matte black. The fan has been serviced and cleaned ready for the next 110 years. Head wire and brush wires have been replaced with our superior OTR+W USA produced wire. This fan runs smoothly on one distinct speed as designed on either 110v AC or DC. Displays minor bearing wear from use over the past 100 plus years.
