Circa 1908 Earliest Known 12" GE BMY Desk Fan. Historical Value, the earliest known GE Big Motor Yoke with its Serial No. of 331523. This product design became "the staple" of GE desk fan offerings for many years and solidified GE's dominance in the marketplace. A staple piece for a GE BMY timeline collection. Finish appears all original. Fan does not run and appears to have bearing wear.  Due to the historical significance of this example, I did remove the back cover to ensure all the original centrifugal switch components are intact.  All original centrifugal components are present with a loose (unattached wire) from the bottom of the male portion of the switch plate.  Someone has preformed some wire "updates" on the back of this stator at some point over the years as well.  The wiring will need to be cleaned up and updated as well as the centrifugal switch cleaned and aligned.  Ideal for the collector who seeks the rewarding experience of tinkering with a fan and witnessing the fruits of their labor manifest in the final product.
