This product design became "the staple" of GE desk fan offerings for many years and solidified GE's dominance in the marketplace. A staple piece for a GE BMY timeline collection and one you're not likely to ever upgrade. Don loved to display this fan at fan meets showing the purpose of the centrifugal start switch design as noted with his display tag. To display the purpose of the centrifugal start switch, Don installed an external switch to replicate its functionality. Virtually every detail of this fan exemplifies early BMY design! Finish appears all original and would really come to life with a cleaning and polishing. Operates on 3 distinct speeds, would recommend a detailed servicing if daily use is intended. The amount of original internal centrifugal switch components are unknown.
