From the Prairie House Collection, assembled by a dedicated fan enthusiast and collector, comes this rare circa 1902 12" Emerson Type 910 Stationary Desk Fan. This rare stationary Emerson retains its original finish and features the highly desirable ornate base and "stick" mount motor. The motor housing has good paint and should clean up nicely, revealing Emerson's iconic black japanned finish. While the ornate base has some paint loss, the remaining finish should respond well to cleaning and waxing.  The brass blade and cage display what appears to be beautiful original patina that complements the fan's overall presentation.  The fan is missing its head wire and power cord. The repaired switch is present but will need to be installed/wired to the motor. Without the switch installed the fan ran smoothly on 115V AC when tested. One acorn nut is missing and appears to have been replaced with a threaded rod. The struts are missing their screws that hold the guard in place, cage needs tightening, and the acorn nuts do not tighten properly.  This rare and desirable early Emerson will make an excellent addition to a collection when these little nuisances are addressed and a service is performed.
