Very Rare 16" Western Electric Bipolar Wall Mount Fan. If you desire the best of the best when it come to a rare Wall Mounted Fan, this 16" Western Electric Bipolar has it all. Like with any bipolar motor fan, this openly shows the "early days" of electric motor design. The wonderful motor is paired with the massive Windmill brass blades and cast center ring Western Electric Logo Guard all held to the wall by an elongated neck cast base. In my opinion, this fan has it all!! The fan motor can be rotated and adjusted to its desired direction by loosening the cast knob under the motor coils. Having owned over the years both the 12" and 16" WE Bipolar Desk models, I find the 16" a very desirable fan to run. Sometimes when you think about a 16" fan, the thought of massive amounts of air come to mind. This is not the case with the Western Electric 16" Bipolars, sure if you want lots of air turn it on high but the breeze from low and medium is very nice and soothing. When found, this fan was missing its original switch. An exact to original specification switch was produced to make this fan complete. There is a "notch" on the top edge of the base, I'm not sure this is original and was quite possibly done to run a power cord into the base when mounted. A rare opportunity to own a rare fan!!
