Introducing an exquisite piece from the Southwest Collection: Rare Circa 1898 original 16" Western Electric Bipolar Fan.  I'm usually partial to 12" fans but this Western Electric Bipolar in 16" form is absolutely beautiful.  With the exception of the wings on the blades, this fan remains in its original, untouched state, just as it was from day one - nothing has been polished or replaced.  The wings on the blades have been replaced as the originals were a bit too wrinkled.   The switch and coil are also original.  The fan operates at a single speed instead of the intended three so you may want to rewind the coil.  In the photos provided, you may notice a small clip missing on the fan base and a break in the cage. Both of these issues have been fixed since the pictures were taken.
