Circa 1916 12" GE 2 Star 6 brass blade oscillating desk fan. Type AO Form S3 Cat. #78777, this fan design was the workhorse for GE in the mid to late teens. This model sports the very impressive 6 brass blades, the guard is steel with an original brass finish. This is a very desirable 2 Star oscillator, referring to the 2 star shaped adjustment knobs located on the fan. The body of the fan still retains much of its original finish showing minor signs of wear from the past 100 plus years. Fan runs smoothly on three distinct speeds. We have fully serviced the fan for daily use. New head wire and power cord were installed using our OTR+W superior wire product. Gearbox was disassembled and cleaned of all old grease and new fresh grease added. Oil cups were removed and cleaned, old dirty wick was removed and fresh wick added. New rubber feet were installed on the base to protect furniture. A historic brand manufactured during a time that "quality was standard".
