Circa 1920's 12" GE AOU Brass Bell Oscillator. This fan was GE's staple workhorse of the early 1920's. This design has proven to be very reliable and has lasted for many years and is still running strong. This fan displays an iconic black finish (which was refreshed at some time in its life) paired with polished brass blades. This model features a wrapped steel guard (which had to be a manufacturing nightmare). The 4-conductor head wire appears to have been replaced at time of restoration. We have updated the power cord with our superior OTR+W USA produced cloth cover wire. This fan oscillates smoothly on three distinct speeds as designed. The bearing feels nice and will be good for another 100 years with regular oiling. Fan has been fully serviced with all old grease and wicking removed and new wick and fresh oil installed. New rubber feet have been added for protection of furniture surfaces. Fan operates as designed on three distinct speeds. This GE Brass Bell Oscillator is perfect for daily use and an iconic American appliance.
