Circa 1916 12" GE 3 Star Brass Blade Cage Oscillating Desk Fan Restored with bronze hoop
Restored circa 1915 12" GE 3 Star brass blade and cage oscillating desk fan with bronze loop handle. This highly desirable 3 star oscillator was GE’s workhorse mid to late teens 1910’s. The 3 star designation refers to the three brass star shaped knobs that adorn the mechanical adjustments. This particular example also features the rare bronze loop handle, a sought-after detail among collectors. The guard, blade and struts are brass and have a have been beautifully polished. The body of the fan has been restored in a gorgeous rich black finish. This fan funs smoothly and quietly on three distinct speeds and oscillates nicely on all three speeds. We have fully serviced the fan - the gearbox has been disassembled and all old grease removed, fresh grease added for years of use. The oiler has been cleaned of all old oil/grease and has a fresh wick and new oil. If you are in the market for a daily use fan that is reliable with great character this is an excellent choice.
