Circa 1913 12" Menominee Ball Motor Tab Foot Desk Fan Brass Blade Cage Rare

From the Prairie House Collection, assembled by a dedicated fan enthusiast and collector, comes this, circa 1913 12" Menominee Ball Motor Tab Foot stationary table fan. Menominee fans of this period feature a very "industrial" design. This particular industrial design has drawn a strong following in the collector community because of the rarity of its 12” size combined with a ball motor and tab footed base.  This example still retains its original finish on the motor housing, and the base has been repainted.  The brass guard and wings have a really nice patina.  The head wire has been replaced and appears to be in good condition.  Fan is missing its switch.  The front and rear motor housings appear to be coming apart where they join, and one brush contact ring is broken off and will be provided with the fan.  The front and rear bearings are bad and will need to be replaced and the motor also has a short to ground.  This is a great opportunity to acquire a rarer designed 12” Menominee.
