Circa 1912 8" FWEW Fort Wayne Electric Works All Brass Desk Fan. Recently acquired from an amazing private collection, we are pleased to present this wonderful original condition Fort Wayne Electric Works All Brass model. The early teens found many major manufacturers offering small 8" models comprised completely or mostly of brass. 110 years later these examples known as "All Brass" fans have become very popular with collectors for their small scale and "bling" when polished. The example we offer still retains a wonderful original patina which is also very pleasing to collectors of original condition examples. Fort Wayne also used a very unique motor design, the field winding was centered with the rotor rotating around its perimeter. Fan operates perfectly on 3 distinct speeds.
