Circa 1912 12" FWEW Fort Wayne Electric Works "Kidney" Oscillating Desk Fan. Original 12" FWEW Kidney Manufactured By General Electric And Sold To Fort Wayne Electric Works. Original And Complete Kidney Oscillators Are Very Difficult To Find And FWEW Makes This Example Rare. This Example Was Acquired From A Long Timer Pickers Collection.  He Picked Fans From Wisconsin Back In The 80's From Antique Shops, Flea Markets, etc And Stashed Them Away.  Many Of The Fans From This Collection Were In Amazing Condition Some Appeared To Have Never Been Used.  I Think The Minimal Use Was Due To The Area In Which They Were Found.  The Paint On This Is 100% Original And Was Only Cleaned An Waxed To Reveal This Bright And Shinny Original Finish. Fan Has Been Completely Disassembled And Serviced. All Old Grease Has Been Removed And Replaced With Fresh Clean Lubricants. New Wiring Has Been Added For Safe Operation. Beautiful And Rare Example!
