All original circa 1911 16" Western Electric Hawthorn "Tank" table fan. Manufactured by the Westinghouse Electric Co. and sold to Western Electric who supplied them to the market under their brand name. This beautiful all original example was just acquired from a private collection. The original finish is in excellent condition displaying minimal wear and chipping. The bottom edge of the base does show some chipping but very minor. 16" "Tank" motor fans in this condition are much harder to find than their 12" counterparts and we are pleased to offer this example. When new these models did not come with "Off" printed on the base, the original owners decided to inscribe into the finish "Off" "On" and we left that bit of history with the fan. Blade was balanced by the expert Paul Graves at Times Past Fans in Harrison Arkansas. Both oil cups have been cleaned of all old, hardened oil, new oil and wicks were installed for good lubrication of mechanical parts. Rare addition for any fan collection!!
