Rare Circa 1909 8" Fidelity Desk/Wall Fan in All Original condition. We are pleased to offer such a wonderful, unique, and rare example from Fidelity Electric Co. of Lancaster PA. This fan features a very unique "ball & socket" swivel atop the base allowing for the fan to be easily adapted for wall mounting or upright for desk or table use. Fidelity was not known for its smooth finishing techniques often appearing as though they were painted with a brush, this example has a wrinkle green finish with gold pinstripes. The motor housing also displays a detail that I have only seen on this model, the front motor housing is embossed Fidelity Electric Co. Brass components feature amazing original patina as shown in the photos. The dainty original switch is still present in the base and is marked in pencil with the motor information. This is a 133 cycle example, the original advertisement shows this as having been offered in 60 & 133 cycles with 133 being the more expensive option. Porcelain switch body has some damage to the corners but does not affect its functionality. We upgraded the wiring to the motor as well as the power cord. I have only seen 4 examples of this model, this being one of them. Fan runs excellent when supplied with 110 V at 133 cycles. Excellent collector grade fan!
