Professionally Restored 1904 12" GE Pancake Kim Frank Two Tone Black

Professionally Restored 1904 12" GE Pancake Two Tone Black Beauty.  This stick mount half ribbed Pancake was restored by Kim Frank.  Kim estimated this example to have been executed in 2012-14 time frame.  We were fortunate to have acquired this beautiful example as part of a quality collection.  Kim described the finish as a "Two tone high gloss automotive finish with flat black accents".   All brass aged in his special solution and cleared in matte finish for brass.  The matte and gloss finish seamlessly blend together to create a remarkable and striking finish.  We asked Kim how many of these examples were created and the following is his answer: "Not many. I was trying to make a point that fans didn’t need to be polished and shiny to catch your eye.  I did a 1904, and an 1903 in the black and flat black finish. Then I did a couple in the baked appliance epoxy finish with the aged brass. Those looked like well-kept factory fans.”  This is a rare opportunity to acquire such a beautiful example, restored by one of the best in the fan collector community!   Fan runs perfectly on 5 speeds spinning very freely on a new bearing.  One of my absolute favorites and sure to be a highlight of any collection.
