Circa late 1905-early 1906 All Original 12" Westinghouse Tank Motor Desk Fan.  If you are a collector of the Westinghouse "Tank" design fans of 1906-1913, this is a historically significant early example.  With the introduction of this design in 1906 Westinghouse created what would be a highly collectible line of desk fans 117 years later.  Examples from early production have become highly desirable and feature distinct characteristics that were quickly redesigned during its 7 year production run.  Early in my collecting, this series and design of fans were of high interest and still highly appealing in my collector eye.  This example because of many characteristics is very special!!  Starting with original condition, Amazing!!!  The original finish has been cleaned and waxed with no touchups in any way.  Base design is of the earliest style, flat compared to later models and the power cord grommet is a press versus screw in like the later and more common examples.  Highly desirable and very fragile smooth (non reinforced) trunnion.  Motor tag attachment using rivets (pins) vs screws of later models.  Voltage noted on the motor i.d. plate of 104 Volts, later models became commonly stamped with 100-110.  Brass guard features a solid brass center ring with strip stencil banner logo.  Excited to have the opportunity to offer such a wonderful early example of a wonderful Westinghouse "Tank" Motor Desk Fan.
