Circa 1946-50 Hunter Type R52 Ceiling Fan. We hand-picked this all-original example from our collection for a complete cosmetic preservation and internal servicing so we could offer the fan as it would have appeared in 1946 - now enhanced with the natural character that comes with age. This model helped establish the reputation behind Hunter’s "Oil Bath" ceiling fans, known for their quality and reliability. The cast iron motor and blade irons retain their original blue/grey finish which has been cleaned and waxed. The original maple “wingtip” blades have been cleaned and polished, showcasing a warm patina developed over time and producing a soothing, "swooshing" sound. The fan has been fully serviced, including the installation of NOS Hunter races and bearings, the addition of fresh grease, cleaning of the oil cups and addition of new oil, re-insulation of the motor after voltage leakage testing, rotor refinishing, and upgraded power leads with new 2 conductor 18 G twisted wire. Fans will never be produced to this quality again and this has proven to be a generational machine. Fan is operated on 3 speeds via the original pull chain switch. An absolute beauty!!!
