Circa 1918 All Original Emerson 24645 9" Oscillating Desk Fan.  Very unique and desirable 9" Emerson Oscillating desk fan featuring a "step base" design and still retaining its ball detent oscillating wheel.  We have cleaned and serviced this example by disassembling the gearbox and removing all old grease replacing with fresh and clean new lubrication.  Both head wire and power cord have been upgraded to our OTR+W cloth covered power cord.  Original finish on the cast iron base and motor is impeccable.   The pivot neck, gear box, and ball detent oscillator wheel had paint loss not complimentary to the cast iron components, we removed the remaining finish and blued/blackened these pieces.  Coloring of these components created a beautiful compliment to the original finish and is within keeping to an all original example we had recently.   This example runs and oscillates perfectly on three distinct speeds.  Low speed provides a very soothing/calming breeze and is ideal for relaxation.  The cast iron base design used on this fan is specific to this type and not used on any other Emerson model.
