Circa 1934 Factory All Chrome 12" GE 49x491 CP Oscillating Desk Fan. All Chrome Finishes Became An Available Option On Desk Fans In The 1930's. Chrome Plated Fans Became Ideal For Use In Clean And Sterile Environments Such As Hospitals And Restaurants. All Chrome Fans When Found Have Not Survived The Past 85 Plus Years The Way That This Example Has. Because Chrome Is Susceptible To Rust From Moisture And Dirt Most Are Pitted And Rusty With Areas Of Missing Chrome. This Example Presents Itself As Found. Upon A Close Inspection, I Believe The Body (Base, Motor, Oscillator, ECT.) To Still Retain An Incredible Original Chrome Plated Finish. The Blade And Guard Appear To Have Possibly Been Replaced At Some Point In Its Life. It Is An Absolutely Beautiful Example Of A Very Hard To Find And Desirable Fan. Fan Runs And Oscillates Perfectly And All 3 Speeds.
