Opening In 1891, The Alms Hotel Became A Staple At The Corner Victory Parkway And E. McMillan Street In Cincinnati Ohio. Through The Years The Alms Hotel Went Through Many Additions And Would Speculate This GE Fan Was Part Of A Remodel Or Addition. GE Manufactured This Fan For The 1934-1935 Season. This Is One Of 2 Remaining Survivors That We Are Aware Of. This Example Is Very Fortunate To Still Retain The Two Water Transfer Decals From The Alms Hotel. Overall The Fan Is In Great Condition. Over The Years It Was Exposed To Heavy Moisture Around The Base As Seen In The Photos. We Have Completely Disassembled This Fan And Mechanically Serviced. The Gearbox Has Been Completely Cleaned Of All The Original Hardened Grease And Had Fresh Clean Grease Added. The Oiler Has New Wick Installed As Well As Fresh Oil. We Also Replaced The Wire From Base To Motor And Power Cord With Period Style Cloth Covered Wire.
