1931 Singer Ribbonaire, Singer Sewing Machine Company New York USA. Marketed for its safety, Singer boasted "No Possibility of injury as with metal blades". Thermo-Plastic enclosed, shock proof. Quiet, will not disturb sleep or conversation. The part of this design I have always been impressed by was the marketing of scent distribution, place a few drops of pine scent, perfume or other essences on the ribbons will delicately scent the air.
This is a beautiful all original example with no breaks or repairs and original ribbons. We disassembled and serviced the motor for years of continued enjoyment. New power cord was added. An excellent example or a very unique yet functional design.
