The Luminous Radiator Became A Popular Household Appliance In The Late Teens To Early 20's. These Heaters Were Often Referred To As A Portable Fire Place, Without Fire But With All Its Advantages. Marketed As Being Suitable For Drawing Rooms, Staterooms, Hallways, Bathrooms, Cold Corners In Offices, Ect. Heat Was Derived From Large Frosted Lamps Made In Tubular Form. These Lamps Are Specifically Designed To Transform Electrical Energy Into Radiant Heat. The Cheerfulness Of A Luminous Radiator When In Use Is Decidedly Attractive. This Example Has Been Restored To Original Specification In A Bright Nickel Finish. Both Lamps Still Function As They Have For The Last 100 Years. An Absolutely Stunning Heater You Will Not Find In This Condition.
