Circa 1915 12" Diehl "Transional" Oscillating Desk Fan. This Model Was Produced During The Period Diehl Introduced Stamped Steel Parts Into Fan Manufacturing, The Motors Housing Is Comprised Of Stamped Steel "Outer" Components But The In Inside Is Made Of Cast Iron. This Example Is A True "Example" Of The "Old" & "New" Being Used In A Combination. Beautiful 6 Wing Brass Blades Are Surrounded By A Drop Ring Brass Guard With Fancy Brass Diehl Logo. There Is A 3 Position Switch In The Base, High And Medium Seem About The Same With Low Being Noticeably Slower And Providing A Gentle Breeze. There Is A Small Chip Out Of The Oscillator Wheel, But Does Not Affect Operation. The Headwire And Power Cord Appear TO Have Been Upgraded With Period Correct Cloth Covered Cord.
