Circa 1914 Original 12" 6 Blade Westinghouse Stamped Steel Electric Desk Fan. This example features the desirable 6-wing brass blade, brass cage, and iconic Westinghouse solid banner. The fan retains its original black finish, and it is in great condition - it even displays the original “Off” speed indicator. The brass blade and cage appear to display the original factory shine. The brass components and original finish pair beautifully. There is very minor oxidation present on the rim of the base. The fan has been cleaned and serviced including replacing the head wire and power cord, installing fresh grease in the oscillator gearbox, and replacing the felt in the bottom cover. Fan runs and oscillates smoothly on three distinct speeds as designed. These early Westinghouse oscillators are often found missing parts or in need of significant restoration work, but this example appears to retain all of its original components and displays wonderfully. Ready for use or display for another 100+ years!
