Circa 1912 8" Diehl All Brass Desk Fan.  Pleased to offer this beautiful all original example of Diehls unique "all brass" fan.  In the early 1910's the electric fan is finding itself into a large number of homes and with that comes necessary to market smaller more "personal" fans.  All the major manufactures jumped into the marketing of this smaller fan and with that came fans known to collectors today as "All Brass" describing the material common on the fans exterior.  Because of their size and material, many of these fans have become highly polished over the years.  This is a "survivor" having dodged the buffer stripping it of its patina and character (wouldnt you hate to see those tiger stripes disappear...?).  We acquired this example from a lifelong collection where the fan spent most of its life on display.  We have cleaned the oil cups of all the old hard oil and replacing the wicking material.  Fan runs excellent on 3 distinct speeds when supplied with 115v AC.
