Circa 1910 8" Emerson Type 11644 Ornate Base Desk Fan. Fresh from a major collection, this example graced the collectors shelf for many years being preserved.  Desirable Among Collectors for its unique characteristics, this model has become increasingly difficult to acquire.  The base and trunnion appear to still retain the fans 113 year old finish which is in wonderful condition.  Motor appears to have been refinished at some point.  Fan runs perfectly with its signature centrifugal start switch clicks upon starting and stopping!! We test ran this model for several hours without issue.  Blade appears to have been cleaned but not polished at some point.  An interesting bit of this fans history resides under the base, a former owner inscribed their name into the finish.  Cage and struts display a very attractive patina.  Beautiful Little Early Emerson.
