Circa 1891 Edison 1/2 HP Slow Speed Motor. This example is 100% complete and operational.  Among The Most Desirable Edison Motors, This 1894 1/2 HP Is An Excellent Original Example. The Iron Base Frame Does Appear To Have Been Painted At Some Point In The Past. The Glass Oilers For This Motor Are Very Rare, These May Be Newer Examples But Appear To Be Exact Replicas Of The Original Ones. All Wiring Appears To Be Original To The Motor. The Age Of The Brass Looks To Be Consistent With The Age Of The Motor. Motor operates flawlessly as seen in the video below.  The Importance Of This Motor Dates Back To Its Introduction. There Were No Motors On The Market As Efficient As The Slow Speed. It Was The High End Motor Of The 1890's And Highly Desired For A Multitude Of Applications.
