Very Rare Circa 1914 Emerson Type 21645 Oscillating Desk Fan. The 21645 Is A Transitional Model For Emerson, Later In Its Production Life This Model Saw Several Features Become Upgraded To Modern Materials And Designs. This Is An Early Example With All Its Original Components. Blade Features A Cast Iron Hub That Was Later Upgraded To Stamped Metal Design. Oscillator Wheel Is The Very Desirable And Fragile "Ratchet" Adjustable Pot Metal Wheel. So Many Collectable And Early Features Packed Into This Small Emerson Making It Highly Desirable To Collectors. Fan Features Its Original Finish On All Components Except The Oscillator Box And Wheel, These Parts Are Known For Not Retaining Their Original Finishes Well. The Collector That I Acquires This Example From Updated The Finishes On Those 2 Components Many Years Ago. An Absolutely Amazing Original Condition Example Of This Highly Collectable Fan. The Original Headwire Is In Incredible Condition And We Chose TO Leave It Intact.
