Circa 1912 12" Adams-Bagnall Jandus Ball Motor DC "C" Frame Oscillator Professionally Restored and Fine Tuned.  The Jandus Oscillating Mechanism is one of the most unique designs in desk fan oscillators and does not work on the traditional worm gear principle.  The shaft of the motor revolves at 1600 R.P.M. Fastened to the gear end of the shaft is an eccentric which drives the inner gear having 126 teeth. This meshes with the outer gear having 127 teeth, or there is a reduction ratio of 126 to 1.  An amazing example of Industrial gear mechanism design which produced a very unique oscillating movement.   This example was restored by a well-known fan restorer who kept it as part of their personal collection for a long period of time.  The copper oxide and black was an excellent finish and one you will not find duplicated.  We had the mechanism professionally fine tuned by an expert on this design making it oscillate as perfect as possible for a 114-year-old machine.  Direct Current examples of this fan are very rare, this one operates as designed on 3 distinct speeds when supplied with 110 V DC.  Restored examples of this quality are becoming almost extinct as the number of restorers diminish.  Once in a lifetime opportunity to own such a masterpiece!
