Presenting a beautiful example from the Southwest Collection: Circa 1900 Emerson P1 241 12" Trunnion Desk Fan Restored. Early and highly desirable Emerson model! Older restoration.  The fan inconsistently starts which could be due to a dead spot in the rotor.  When operating, it operates as intended on two speeds  (it is important to note that this model has a centrifugal switch, necessitating the lever to be moved to the far right position to start. After the centrifugal switch opens the speed can be adjusted to the preferred high or low speed). Missing a double acorn nut.
