On consignment from the well respected Carlton Ward, a longtime member of the Antique Fan Collectors Association known for his exceptional restorations and contributions to the fan community, is this beautifully Restored Circa 1904 12" GE Pancake Desk Fan which showcases Carlton's craftsmanship. Restored in a rich glossy tuxedo black perfectly complimented with beautifully polished and lacquered brass blades and cage. A brass/gold pinstripe detail has been hand painted on the base. Power cord and head wire were upgraded at the time of restoration using a rich burgundy cloth cover twisted cord. The fan runs well on its five distinct speeds. The original knob has been replaced with a beautifully handcrafted knob. There are signs of wear on the bearing from 120 years of use. The front motor housing and motor tag are consistent with examples produced in 1907 and the motor's information tag has the word "Cycles" scratched through; however, testing on 60 cycles confirms that the fan functions correctly.
