Designed in 1931 by Harry Knight of Dallas Texas for Dallas Engineering Corporation. This example has been professionally restored in a classic Matte Black finish. This is a wonderful example of a perfectly sized airplane fan! I'm unsure of the restorer but the color choice and its execution is perfect for this planes design. The design was perfect for the addition of a front (main) wing, I believe this addition was executed at time of restoration. I have not seen another Dallas Airplane fan which still retains its original wiring box atop the motor, this box is shown in the original design patent. The wiring box could be used to connect the planes motor to the main power source and if the plane required servicing, it could be disconnected at this point and not removed from the ceilng mount. Beautiful and tastefully restored!!!
