Professionally Restored 12" 1908 GE "Big Motor Yoke".  This fan features a beautiful rich White Finish along with mirror polished brass and hand painted gold leaf lettering.  This was General Electric second variation of its syntrifical switch motor and the last year model to feature this switch.  This motor design became the workhorse for General Electrics fan designs and variations of it kept their market alive and dependable for over 10 plus years.  Little did those engineers think that 112 plus years later this motor would still be in operation as it was when new.  A wonderful break from the "norm", this fan has a stunning rich white (porcelain like) finish.  The brass has been polished to a mirrored shine and lacquered to protect the brass and retain the shine.  Originally GE used a decal for lettering above the switch lever, we chose to have those replicated by a sign painter that uses gold leaf and freehands each letter and number.  This fans motor has fresh new period correct cloth covered wire going to the switch and the same period correct wire supplying power, this cord has uses an original style bakelite plug to finish off.  An excellent running fan ready to provide a lifetime of service.
