Original Circa 1892 12" 2 Speed Crocker Wheeler Bipolar Fan

Very Early Electric 1890's Crocker Wheeler 2 Speed 1/12th hp. Type T Bipolar Fan.  This incredible example was found in the mid west region many years ago by a farm machinery collector at a swap meet.   He acquired the motor, brought it home and placed it on a shelf.  When the time came to downsize, he contacted me wishing to sell.   The motor was very dirty and remained in "As Found" condition, he was unsure if it would operate as it had never been tested.  Upon arrival, I gave a quick cleaning to the contacts and gradually applying small amounts of DC power, it was alive!!  Placed on a shelf this sat in the shop until recently when I pulled it out and decided to give it the much needed servicing and cleaning it deserved.  Motor components contain their original finish and 130 years of patina.  Even the rotor is still wrapped in its original textured insulation....you never find that.  Original side mounted 2 speed switch remains 100% intact with no repairs or replaced parts.  It is an absolutely gorgeous example and runs like the day it left the factory.  Primary design of this motor was for use as a fan offering a low and high speed.  We sourced this blade from a superior fabricator and it runs perfectly!!  An extremely desirable example in superior condition!!
