Original 10" Lindstrom Smith Co "White Cross" Fan. Acquired as part of an amazing private collection, this fan is a true testimony to the collectors desire for "the best" original examples. Brass components appear to have been mildly cleaned and show no signs of damage or repairs. Original finish is absolutely stunning, the best I have seen in almost 30 years of collecting. Lindstrom Smith became a household name in small appliances during the teens and entered into the fan and small motor market during that time period. This is a unique design as it was suited for operation on either AC or DC. Current designation can be selected via the switch and requires removal of a stop or pin inside the base (instructions will be sent to the new owner with the fan). Wonderful example of a seldom found model.
