Circa Late 1920's-30's Emerson 4 Blade "Long Nose" Ceiling Fan restored featuring a custom Holophane shade light kit. An icon of the early 20th century, Emerson ceiling fans became a permanent fixture in many architectural icons of the early 1900's in many major cities across the country. This example was part of a 50-year collection of ceiling fans from possibly the largest private collection in the USA. This fan was among that collection and in need of complete restoration. Stator has been removed from the cast iron motor housing, reinsulated and checked for any leakage. Cast Iron has been professionally painted in a deep rich black. Rotor and shaft have been checked for excessive wear, cleaned, and freshly lubricated. New races and bearing have been installed and freshly lubricated. The original 3 speed switch assembly is still present and operates as designed. Original blades have been refinished in a reddish/brown color matching the original finish. Antique Fan Supply Co. custom designed the light kit featuring Holophane brand light shades to replicate the original light kit design. The fan was restored to like-new condition for daily use and is ideal for any setting looking to showcase a statement piece that’s rarely available fully restored and ready for installation.
