President William L Laib Intends To Market Illuminated, Flashing Signs For Catchy Advertising. 1902 Reynolds Electric Changes To Reynolds Electric Flasher Manufacturing. 1903 Reynolds Markets Flashing Traffic Lights To Accommodate New Laws That Skeptics Refer To As "Passing Fads". 1913, Still Under The Reynolds Flasher Manufacturing Company Name They Began Building Their Own Electric Motors. 1933 Reynolds Electric Company Moves Their Factory To River Grove, Illinois. 1939, Reynolds Receives A Trademark For A New Product, A Fan Called Reynolds Radi-Aire. 1941 World War Two Starts, Halting Fan Production, And Reynolds Is Kept Busy With Government Military Contracts. 1942 Reynolds Electric Increases Efficiency Of Germicidal Lamps And Vapors For Air Circulating Machines And Fly Chaser Fans.
Mr. Kearns Dates This Example As A 1949 Model. RECO (Reynolds Electric Company) Radi-Aire Circulators Are The Only True "Drat-Free" Air Circulators. This Feature Made Them Very Popular For Use In Hospitals.
This Example Has Been Painted Since New And Looks Great! Fan Runs Nice And Strong. The Fan Currently Sports A Down Draft Roto-Beam Cast Aluminum Blade. The Original Bakelite Updraft Blade Will Also Be Included With Purchase. Motor Is Operated By A Pull Chain Switch Located At The Bottom Of The Motor, This Could Also Be Controlled By A Wall Switch. Ceiling Canopy Does Not Appear To Be Original To The Fan, Would Look Nice Refinished Black To Match The Fan. Very Modern/ Timeless Design And Would Fit Perfectly In And Decor.
President Of Reynolds Electric Company William L. Laib Passed Away At The Age Of 78 In 1957.
By 1962 Reynolds Electric Was Purchased By Former Sunbeam Associate Paul H. Rosenberg.
