Circa 1930's Modernist Royal Rochester Pedestal Fan Restored By Fan Museum Curator Kim Frank. This Epitomizes Many Different Era's Of Design And Ranks As One Of The Best "Modernist" Fan Case Designs. H.H. Schott Designed This Fan Housing For Robeson-Rochester Corporation Of New York. In A 1938 Raabe-Mauger Hardware Ad They Referred To This Fan As "The Aristocrat Of Fandom". At Its Introduction This Fan Could Be Purchased As A Desk Or Pedestal Model. With This Example You Get Both!! The Fan Can Easily Be Removed From The Pedestal For Table Or Desk Use. Kim Frank Curator For The Antique Fan Collectors Museum Lovingly Restored The Example Back To Its Original True Beauty. Fan Uses A "Fasco" Motor Made By Fasco Industries Rochester NY. Fan Features A Period Correct Wrinkle Finish That Matches The Pole And Base. I Have Run This Fan For Extended Periods Of Time And The Motor Gives Off A Warm Smell. A Fan Of Such Great Design Could Have Used A Beefier More Reliable Motor But My Guess Is They Didn't Intend For The Fan To Be Around For 90 Years. Beautiful Work Of Art That Looks Even Better In Operation.
