Art Deco design represented modernism turned into fashion.  That statement is representative of the beautiful fan design that Emerson brought to market in 1936.  At this time period in America, fans had been available on the market for close to 50 years and with the Art Deco movement just hitting America, let's combine the electric fan with the latest design trend.  To achieve the modernism design, Emerson had to really think out of the box in order to create this beautiful masterpiece.  This example is in excellent condition!!  We have disassembled this fan and serviced all the mechanical parts.  The gearbox has been cleaned of all old grease and fresh new grease installed.  All oil ports have been cleaned and fresh oil added.  The wire from base to motor and power cord has been upgraded to our OTR+W high quality original style cloth covered cord.  Fan operates perfectly on 3 distinct speeds.  On the back of the motor is an aluminum cover or hubcap, this piece has a few small surface scratches and very minor dents.  The wear on that cover is far less than what you see on most Silver Swans of this age.
