Circa 1934 Restored General Electric "Top Mount" Reversible Ceiing Fan. Prior to the introduction of this design, GE ceiling fans required a secondary set of blade brackets or irons to achieved for "Updraft" air circulation. Updraft circulation is desired for summer months to pull cool air up attempting to cool the warm air above. For GE this was a very revolutionary design though requiring the user to readjust their blades position on the rotor. We have restored this example in "Anodex Bronze" paired with copper flashed blade brackets and rich dark walnut blades. The combination pairs wonderfully giving a very sophisticated appearance. Internally the fan has been restored as well, motor coils checked and many layers of fresh new insulation applied. Rotor and shaft have been checked and cleaned, new races and bearing have been installed and "bathed" in fresh clean oil. Power to the fan is supplied by fresh new wiring from the ceiling to switch. Internally the fan has an Off/On switch, we will suppy a motor control (installs inside an electrical box and appears as a dimmer) ideal for dialing in your perfect speed. A design that is 90 years old yet visually modern making for the perfect addition in today home. Made with quality materials you would expect from early amerian produced goods.
