Designed In 1933 By Thomas Borth Jones And Executed By The Century Electric Company. This Case And Its Design Were Intended To Make The Consumer Feel As Tho Their Fan Was An Extension Of The Piece Of Furniture On Which It Sat. During This Same Time Period, GE Also Brought A Furniture Styled Fan To The Market And Sure This Was Century's S Answer. This Example Is Much Rarer Than A GE, Therefor Most Collectors Have Never Seen One. This Example Came To Us From A Large Collection Acquisition And Had Been Part Of That Collection For Many Years. Even When Examples Do Come To Market, Their Condition Is Not Nearly As Wonderful As This One. The Metal Case Is Painted A Rich Brown With Shading To Replicate Wood. The Base Features An Off and On Slide Switch. The Fan Oscillates (Case And All) On A Central Point And Can Be Toggled Off And On Via A Switch On The Back. Very Rare Example In Superior Condition.
