Circa 1929 Emerson type 29646 12" desk fan. This is an iconic Emerson desk fan that encompasses turn of the century design with 1920's-30's modern technology. The quality craftsmanship that was built into this fan is what has kept it still running today. This quality cannot be found in fan on todays market, which like everything else is produced to be disposable. Every aspect of this fan is rebuildable/repairable should something go wrong. We have completely disassembled this example and checked all electric and mechanical components, cleaned and serviced it, and upgraded the head wire and power cord making it ready for daily use for another 100 years.  Original finish has been cleaned and waxed and displays beautifully showing some signs of character created over the last 90 years.  The fan runs and oscillates on 3 distinct speeds. The brass blades still retain some areas of the original brass paint while others display brass with a nice patina, the combination is beautiful and its character a testiment to the fans sroy/history.  This is a must have for a daily runner. We have this exact model at home and use it nightly for the past 18 years.
