Circa 1925 12" Westinghouse Oscillating Desk Fan. Such An Icon Of The 1920's! To Me, This Is The Stereotypical "Antique Electric Fan". Westinghouse Used Construction Found In This Fan For 20 Plus Years. This Is A True Survivor Of This Model And Period. Having Recently Celebrated Its 97th Birthday, This Fan Appears Almost New. Base And Motor Are Made From Drawn Steel Finished In A Rich Black Enamel. Guard Is Made f Solid Steel Rod Also Finished In A Rich Black Enamel. Headwire Is Original And A True Testament To The Fans Originality. Micarta Blades Are In Excellent Condition With No Cracks Or Repairs. Only Sign Of Wear Is Found On The Gearbox With Minimal Missing Paint. Power Cord Has Been Up Graded To Our OTR+W Cloth Covered Wire. An Absolutely Exceptional Example And Ideal For Reliable Daily Use.

Over the years I see and handle many fans over a wide range of time periods.  This fan and its condition make it one of my favorites that has passed through the shop in some time!  Yes it is not an early rare fan but it is something about the deeply pitched micarta blades, over engineered basket style guard, and general overall condition that set it apart.  It also runs incredibly smooth.  Replacing this example in my inventory will be almost impossible.  The new owner will have a superior example of a wonderful icon that can be found in many print advertisements by Westinghouse during this time period.
