Circa 1922, 9" Emerson 29645 oscillating desk fan. This was Emerson's 9" portable offering that was used for general service in offices and homes. Emerson standardized this design in keeping with their larger 12" & 16" models.  Operational on 3 distinct speeds, this fan can be set for oscillation or stationary operation.  This model also offers wall mounting functionality and with the adjustable collar, breeze can be directed into a desired central area.  Fan features its original 100 plus year finish on all components except the gearbox which has been refreshed in a rich black baked on finish to match the original.  Brass blades were finished in a gold paint from the factory and this example still retains the original "Emerson" gold finish.  Overall the fan shows minimal signs from age and use.  We completely disassembled this example and performed a complete service. The head wire and power cord have been upgraded. Fan operates as designed and is prepared to provide another 100 years of service.
