Circa 1920's Professionally Restored Westinghouse Gyro Fan by Phil Frey. Fresh from a home in Oklahoma City we are pleased to offer this Westinghouse Gyro Fan restored by "The Fan Man" Phil Frey. Phil is known throughout the collector community for adding an artist touch to ceiling fans through his restorations. Phil cast and plated many of his own parts in his "at home workshop". I spoke with Phil's widow about this example and she remembered it and also that "Philip" did not restore many Gyro fans as they were very hard to find maybe only restoring 3 or 4 over his career. The fan and its restoration appear well preserved and most likely the fan went from Phil's workshop to the location inside the Oklahoma City home (shown in the photo included). In an artistic expression and design fashion, the gyro features a gorgeous satin white finish with the blades, tags, and components plated in rich gold. The fan appears perfect for its bathroom vanity space within the home as the finishes soften the often masculine/industrial feel. Upon receipt of the fan, we completely disassembled inspecting and servicing all internal components. Fan operates perfectly and is ready for installation and use.
