Emerson 9" 1920s? Electric Fan

I was disappointed that I was working with what appears to be two providers of the fan I wanted to purchase--Antique Fan & Supply Company and Chairish. The price of the fan was $650 on both sites; howevere, Chairish was offering the fan at a discount. I then started working with Chad at Antique Fan and Supply Company. When I asked for the "best price" on the fan, I received no response and was directed to AFSC website where the price was $650 plus shipping. Why would Chairish give me a discount but the owner of the fan would not respond to my request for a better price? I purchased the fan and it is beautiful and meticulously package for delivery; however, I feel that if I had purchased the fan through the third party Chairish, I could have realized a better price and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth as to the dealings with both Chairish and Antique Fan and Supply Company.
