Circa 1920 GE Prepayment Coin Operated "Hotel" "Taxi" Fan Original Finish. This example still retains its original black GE finish.  Internally the fan is freshly serviced by Kim Frank "Mr. Coin-op".  The coin mechanism functions as it did the way it left the factory!  The fan operates for 60 minutes on a nickel.  Original counter is still present which is a rare find as these are no longer available.  Brass coin door is a modern production but manufactured to replicate the originals.  Brass Guard has been added to this example at some point giving it a much more attractive appearance.  Coin Operated Fans Are The Coolest Novelty Fans And Highly Desirable.
